Taywood Bowl golf at Achimota

Accra, Oct. 14, GNA-The annual 'Taywood Bowl' golf competition will be played at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, October 18.

Mr Samuel Adetola, Captain of the Achimota Golf Club who made this known in Accra on Tuesday, said the competition which is open to only amateur golfers from Tema, Achimota and Celebrity golf clubs, is being sponsored by Taysec Construction Company.

"The Taywood Bowl was started about 50 years ago but continued to generate interest from year to year and this year's would not be an exception", he said.

The competition which would be played in accordance with the rules of the Royal Ancient Golf Club, the World's golf governing body, is expected to attract about 100 participants.

There would be prizes for the Longest Drive on Hole 14 as well as the Longest Drive on Hole 18.
