The National Sports Authority (NSA) and Green Grass Technology (GGT) have started works on the Accra Sports Stadium pitch to ensure the provision of quality pitch after renting out the Accra Sports Stadium for a musical concert.

The National Sports Authority (NSA) on Monday, December 20, 2021, commenced with the routine application of NPK 15.10.10 fertilizer on the pitch of the Accra Sports Stadium for the remaining matches of the 2021/2022 premier league, in order to help enrich the soil and make the turf grow, thus, bringing its green color out as expected to meet the required FIFA standard.

From the expert’s point of view, the CEO of Green Gras Technology, Mr. Frank Boahene took his time to brief the Director General on what has been done and what needs to be done in the area of obtaining a required standard pitch.

The NSA, in a communique sent to the Ghana Football Association [GFA], said renovation works will take place at the edifice, thereby, asking the FA to relocate games that were scheduled for the stadium.

Prof Peter Twumasi, the Director-General (DG) of the National Sports Authority (NSA) has assured the public of its readiness to complete the groundwork for the remaining matches of the Ghana Premier League.

The NSA rented the sports stadium in Accra for a musical concert after informing the sports disciplines that the stadium was closed for grounds maintenance.
