Soccer Express can confirm that Black Stars and Asante Kotoko lethal striker, Isaac Boakye is set to sign a deal with German First Division side, Arminia Bielefield after a one-year search which has seen the player traverse countries like Turkey and Israel.

Our sources in Germany confirmed that negotiations between the player and officials of Arminia Bielefield have reached a conclusive stage and a deal is expected to be signed by close of day today.

The player left Ghana about a fortnight ago lamenting poor treatment from Asante Kotoko coach, Abdul Razak even though the latter has denied the allegations.

Boakye is reportedly not contracted to Kotoko, but is believed that in order to obtain an International Transfer Certificate to commence his international career, Arminia Bielefield is expected to open talks with Kotoko to negotiate a transfer fee.

Former Ghanaian soccer star, Anthony Yeboah who manages Boakye has been instrumental in his quest for a deal in Germany.

Boakye returned from Turkey in the second half of last year after he failed to clinch a deal with top Turkish side, Ankaragucu and reverted to Asante Kotoko having signed a contract with Kotoko days before he emplaned for Turkey.

His presence at Kotoko has seen him score some vital goals for the Porcupine Warriors and the Oseikrom club will sorely miss his departure.
