Accra Lions FC have been dealt a huge blow following the decision by head coach Rainer Kraft to leave the club.
The German tactician did wonders with the capital-based club during the 2022/2021 National Division One League Season.
Courtesy of his stellar campaign with Accra Lions FC, he managed to guide the team to secure promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
Although it has not been smooth-sailing for Kraft and his team in the ongoing 2021/2022 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign, his team has been decent.
Due to some professional reasons, Rainer Kraft has mutually parted ways with Accra Lions FC today.
In a statement from the club, its CEO Nana Obiri Yeboah says they are grateful to the German gaffer and wish him well in the future.
“Rainer Kraft had a very successful spell in his two years as Head Coach of ALFC that was crowned with winning the Division One Championship and gaining the Ghana Premier League promotion this year.
“We are very grateful for everything he has done to develop our club forward and wish him well for the future,” Nana Obiri Yeboah said.
Meanwhile, in the absence of coach Rainer Kraft, his assistant James Francis has been given the Accra Lions jobs as a caretaker coach with immediate effect.
