Attah Bright For Malaysia 24-Hour Walk

Attah Bright of Kumasi won the 2nd Malaysia qualifier yesterday. The competition saw twenty five (25) walkers from all over the country including three Nigerians. The walkers took off from Cape Coast of exactly 4.00pm, and it too Bright 15 hours, 40 minute to cover the distance of 125km.

Stanley Brimah of Cape Coast led the walk at the shot of the gun, followed by Ahmed Tijani Sanni of the Ghana Navy and Adjei Boateng. They were then chased by the likes of Abraham Kumi, Moses Shirill and Thomas Quacoo of Western Region.

It was 7:40 this morning when Attah Bright crossed the finishing line ahead of his compatriots. This qualifies him automatically to represent Ghana in the 2nd Malaysia 24 hrs walk scheduled for Malaysia on August 4th.

Luckshine Egbejule and Peace lkerebe on the other hand qualified to represent Nigeria in Malaysia. Mr. Peter Amoah thanked the Energizer Company, Biriwa Beach Hotel, and Parleys Biscuit for their support in making the competition successful.
