Hearts of Oak captain, Fatawu Mohammed has called on the fans of the club to have patience with the players ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup second leg game against JS Saoura in Algeria.

The Ghana Premier League champions go into the second leg this weekend with a two-goal lead after the first leg.

Hearts of Oak recorded a 2-0 win against the Algerian side at the Accra Sports Stadium with Salifu Ibrahim and Agyenim Boateng scoring the goals.

The Phobians despite a difficult start to the Ghana Premier League campaign rose to the occasion and defeated their Algerian counterparts.

In an interview, Fatawu Mohammed urged the fans to exercise patience since the newly signed players are yet to gel with the club.

“They [fans] should be patient with us because most of the players we signed at the end of last season are yet to gel with us," he said.

“It is not easy being a new player at Hearts of Oak, so I believe they will need time to adapt to life at the club," he added.

The team departed Ghana for the reverse fixture on Wednesday and will hope to book a place in the group phase of the competition.
