Veteran Ghanaian gaffer, Bashir Hayford believes it will be difficult for teams to overtake Asante Kotoko in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors have had an impressive start to the 2021/22 season winning four of their opening five games.
Their impressive form has seen them open a three-point gap at the top.
Hayford, ex-Kotoko manager, said other clubs will struggle to leapfrog the Porcupines at the top.
According to the former Legon Cities gaffer, Kotoko have the character to maintain their form and as results keep the top spot
“I can’t predict the league for Kotoko now but looking at where they are, it will be difficult for others to overtake them on the league table," he told Takoradi based West FM.
“I don’t think Kotoko will lose continuously for other teams to take advantage while they’re on top of the league table," he added.
- What next?
Asante Kotoko will be hoping to continue their fine start when they host city rivals, King Faisal in the matchday six games at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
