20.11.2021 LISTEN

The Hasaacas Ladies should hold up high their heads, they're worthy champions, and we'll welcome them as heroines.

The whole Ghana had our fingers crossed solidly behind you, and it was our prayer you nailed the South African side Memoledi Sundowns to bring home the maiden trophy.

You showcased the legendary Ghanaian football talent at the continental level, and your exploits this far hadn't been a fluke. Winning the Ghana's women premier league, the super cup, the West Africa Women's Zone B cup in a season is an enviable feat. For sure, the newly introduced Caf Champions league triumph would have been the best crowning to a successful year, commencing a new beautiful chapter of Africa's Football history; yet there shouldn't be any room for disappointment.

You've laid the path, and if you're not let down by this unlucky defeat to a Sundowns team that boasts of undefeated record in three years, your next outing will pronounce you as a force to reckon with in any competition.

Today, your name has been written in the pantheon of African football diary, and the brand Hasaacas Ladies will forever be enshrined amongst the gods of football.

The South Africans dreaded a double drubbing in the hands of Ghanaian charges, and they've got themselves out of the hook this time.

Like in the words of their Football Association chairman, Danny Jordaaan, another humiliation on such heightened stage by anything Ghanaian "would have caused socio-economic blows to the South African government."

We appreciate your diplomatic sacrifices then, Ladies.

You never lost disgracefully, but we believe your narrow defeat is the only sacrifice you can make for our beloved Blackstars vis-a-vis the devastation the Stars have caused the South Africa's Bafana Bafana on the road to the global football showpiece - Qatar 2022.

Ghanaians are not only famed for being diplomatic and hospitable, but a clear manifestation of sportsmanship.

We are never sore losers, knowing very well there are only three possible outcomes in the game of football - win, draw, or lose.

Hasaacas Ladies suffered the unhappy outcome, a shocking lose.

A lose that leaves much a lesson to be learnt.

With the passion raised in Ghanaians by the Hasaacas Ladies, if the government and industry players invest more in women football as that of men is prioritised, the future wouldn't only be a contest for the continental glory, but that of the global world.

I therefore suggest the handlers of our Women's national team, Black Queens, should have accommodation for these young Hasaacas Ladies talents. They're national assets, true ambassadors worth protecting from endangerment if indeed we'll make women's football employable and tourist friendly.

Come on Ladies, you've made us proud !!!
