Dreams FC striker Agyenim Boateng Mensah netted a sensational brace on Saturday afternoon to inspire the side to dispatch Accra Lions with a 3-1 win.
The Dawu-based club today hosted the league’s newcomers at the Theatre of Dreams in a matchday 3 encounter of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season.
In a game where both teams opened up, Dreams FC did the attacking better and as a result amassed the maximum three points at the end of the exciting contest.
On the matchday, youngster Hufaz Ali broke the deadlock of the game after just 13 minutes into the first half to finish off a very good team move.
Six minutes later, lead striker Agyenim Boateng Mensah scored with a fantastic finish to double the lead for Dreams FC.
Although Salifu Rauf will grab a consolation goal for Accra Lions in the 24th minute to keep the club in the game before going into the break, a second-half strike from Agyenim Boateng Mensah to complete his brace propelled Dreams FC to record a delightful 3-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
With today’s win, Dreams FC are now 3rd on the Ghana Premier League table while Accra Lions have dropped to 18th.
