Accra Milo Marathon champion, David Zigah finished 19th from a field of 10,000 marathoners in the Amsterdam Marathon run last week. His compatriot Millicent Boadi fared slightly better finishing 13th in the Women’s mass sports category. Before Zigah left Accra some three weeks ago for Amsterdam, he told Joy sports center that he was going to finish among the first ten in the competition. Though 19 is nine paces off his target, Zigah says the Amsterdam Marathon was extremely good for Ghana’s representatives. The Amsterdam Marathon is regarded as the most prestigious marathon in the world.
