Table Tennis coaches across the country would undergo a ten day coaching and umpire course at the Accra Sports Stadium from September 20-30.
Two coaches from each region are expected to take part in the course, which is being organised jointly by the Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) and the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).
The ten-day course to be run morning and afternoon daily would take the coaches through latest developments in the sport and other techniques.
Mr. Vincent A. Arhin Acting General Secretary of the GTTA told GNA Sports that participants would be screened by the association's technical experts before they would be allowed to participate.
He said the coaches are expected to go back to their respective regions to train young tennis players adding that the country lacked qualified coaches hence the need for the exercise.
Mr Arhin expressed the hope that at the end of the exercise the coaches would be well equipped to be able to impart their knowledge to others.
