Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu beleives they will need a good officiating to be able to secure a group phase qualification of the Caf Champions League.

The Ghana Premier League champions recorded a 1-0 win over Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco in the first leg of the preliminary round of the competition.

Striker Isaac Mensah scored the only goal of the game in the first half to keep their chances alive.

With the return game scheduled for October 24 in Casablanca, Boadu believes they will need fair officiating to play in the group phase of the competition.

“It is going to be game management when we go to Morocco. If we get good officiating Hearts of Oak can score over there”, he said at the post-match conference.

“Everybody saw the performance of the referee and if we get good officiating in Morocco, Hearts of Oak will win.

“Hearts of Oak has good players to compete with WAC of Morocco. We are ok with the one goal we scored. We shouldn’t give up and we are going to qualify over there”, he added.

The game will be played at the Stade V Mohammed and will kick off at 16:00GMT.
