Tema Youth goalkeeper, Christian Addai has suffered a horrific injury in the Division One League Super Cup game.
Tema Youth FC hosted Ghana Premier League new side, Bibiani Goldstars FC at the Madina Astro turf on Friday.
Addai who is the captain of Tema Youth FC picked up a horror injury after colliding with Andrews Baidoo of Bibiani GoldStars.
On the 84th minute, his attempt to deny Bibiani Goldstars from scoring resulted in a serious after a challenge from Baidoo, with his right leg giving way beneath the knee as he fell to the ground.
The 19-year-old shot-stopper was rushed to the hospital via ambulance, having lay on the ground motionlessly with a concussion for several minutes.
The career-threatening injury left the players and officials of both sides teary as well as the supporters.
A lone goal scored by Evans Osei Wusu handed Tema Youth FC a comfortable win over the newly-promoted Ghana Premier League outfit.
