Hearts of Oak v Wydad: We are working hard and we will fight for the win – Fatawu Mohammed

Hearts of Oak captain, Fatawu Mohammed has disclosed that the team has been working very hard in training and will give their best this weekend to secure a win against Wydad in the CAF Champions League.

The Ghana Premier League Champions are aiming to progress to the group stage of the 2021/2022 CAF Champions League.

Having eliminated Guinean side CI Kamsar, Hearts of Oak is now faced with a tougher opponent in Wydad AC.

Speaking to Accra-based Angel FM ahead of the first leg of the tie against Wydad, Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed has expressed confidence in the chances of his team recording victory.

According to him, motivation in camp is very high and players will fight for the desired result.

“What I can say is that the motivation is very very high. We know the match will be tough for either side. We are working very well and we will fight for the win. We are the Ghanaian champions and we will show why we are champions. We are only calling on our fans to support us so that we can get the needed victory,” Fatawu Mohammed said.

The clash between Hearts of Oak and Wydad AC will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 17, 2021.
