Legon Cities have announced the signing of goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi ahead of the 2021/22 Ghana football campaign.

The former Asante Kotoko goalie joined the Royals from Medeama SC.

The 26-year-old had pre-season with the team for the past two months in Koforidua.

The former Black Satellites shot-stopper will have to strive hard to become a regular and a mainstay in the team heading into the new campaign as he will have to battle it out with goalkeeper Sylvester Sackey and veteran Fatau Dauda for the number one spot.

The highly-rated goalie was Medeama SC's first-choice goalkeeper in the first phase of last season making 16 appearances but lost his position in the latter part of the season.

Ofori Antwi with the national team was the Black Stars B first choice when they finished as runners up in the 2019 WAFU Championship which was held in Senegal.

Also, he was a member of the national U-20 squad who clinched bronze in the 2013 FIFA Youth Championship in Turkey.
