Mr Godfred Okyere, Member of Parliament for Ayensuano Constituency, in the Suhum Kraboa Coaltar District, has donated footballs and other sporting equipment to eight communities in the constituency.

The beneficiary communities were Beboase, Dokorochiwa, Sowatey, Kuano, Abobri, Adimadim, Achiasnsa and Domo.

Mr Okyere said the donation is to bring the people together despite their political affiliations and also to promote sporting activities in the constituency. He called on the people to bury their differences and rally behind the Government to achieve its objectives.

The MP expressed the hope that by the end of the four-year term of the government, the constituency would have been able to raise at least one football club to join the elite division.

He later inspected two separate projects including a 96 million-cedi market being constructed by the District Assembly at Achiansa and a three-classroom block being constructed by the people of Adimadim.

He pledged 10 bags of cement to assist the people of Adimadin towards the completion of the classroom block.
