Accra to Be Adopted As Africa's Tennis Development Centre

The Confederation of African Tennis (CAT) has expressed its desire to adopt Ghana as it's development centre.

CAT has therefore appealed to the management of the National Sports College in Winneba to improve upon the accommodation and other facilities towards the realisation of their objective.

Mr. Nicholas Ayeboah, director of CAT and international tennis

representative for Africa made this known when he closed the U-18 international tournament at the weekend.

He commended Ghana for making facilities available and praised management and workers of the sports college for rendering an appreciable service to the handlers and participants of the tournament during their four-day stay in Ghana.

Mr. George. B. Dasoberi, Acting Director of the Sports College expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed through diverse ways to make the competition a success.

Mr. Dasoberi announced that plans are almost completed for major rehabilitation works to be carried out soon to enable it to meet all future international events.

The acting director assured the CAT director of Ghana's determination to improve upon the facilities at the College.
