Olympiakos Nicosia complete the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Alhassan Wakaso

Cypriot top-flight club, Olympiakos Nicosia have completed the signing of Ghanaian international, Alhassan Wakaso, Modernghana Sports can report.

The experienced midfielder in the last decade has played almost all his football in Portugal where he is widely known.

Unfortunately, injury setbacks in the last few years has meant that he looks for a new adventure.

On the back of fruitful talks between Vitória Guimarães and Olympiakos Nicosia, he has sealed a move this summer and will now continue his career in Cyprus.

“Olympiakos Nicosia announces the beginning of its cooperation with the 29-year-old international Ghanaian midfielder Alhassan Wakaso.

“We welcome Alhassan Wakaso to the big family of OLYMPIAKOS and wish him Health, Strength and every Success with the jersey of OUR OLYMPIAKOS,” an official communique from the Cyprus club has said.

In the past, Alhassan Wakaso has played for Portuguese teams including Portimonense and Rio Ave. In 2017, he spent a short stint in France where he played for Lorient FC.
