2022 WCQ: Black Stars technical handlers to hold meeting with Bernard Lippert to finalize squad for September games

The technical handlers of the senior national team, the Black Stars will hold a meeting today with the technical director of the Ghan Football Association [GFA], Bernard Lippert to finalize the squad for the upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The Black Stars will kick off their World Cup qualifiers next month.

Coach Akonnor will name Ghana’s squad for next month’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa on Friday at the Conference Room of the GFA.

Ghana are scheduled to host Group G opponents Ethiopia on Friday, September 3 in Cape Coast, before playing South Africa on Monday, September 6, 2021, in Johannesburg respectively.

As part of the plans, the technical handlers led by CK Akonnor and David Duncan will meet the technical to justify their call up before the final squad is announced on Friday morning.

According to multiple reports, the squad will be a blend of local players and foreign players.

CK Akonnor is aiming to steer the Black Stars to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after Ghana failed to make it to the 2018 Mundial in Russia.
