Ghana international, Caleb Ekuban will undergo a mandatory medical examination at Genoa on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, ahead of his imminent transfer to the Italian Serie A club.
The former Leeds United striker as reported by Modernghana Sports is close to securing a move to Italy after making it clear he does not want to stay in Turkey for next season.
Ekuban has been strongly linked to a number of clubs in Europe following his explosive season with Trabzonspor.
It is understood Ekuban handed in a transfer request over the weekend to the Turkish Super Lig club.
Genoa after successful talks on Monday reached an agreement with Trabzonspor for the transfer of the player for a fee believed to be in the region of 2.2 million euros.
Today, sources have confirmed that the 27-year-old will be traveling to Italy tomorrow to undergo a medical ahead of the signing of the deal.
Caleb Ekuban has previously played for Chievo Verona as well as Leeds United.
