Ghana international, Kwame Poku says he is very excited after completing his transfer from Colchester United FC to Peterborough United.

The exciting teenager on Monday wrapped up a move to join the English Championship newcomers to provide a squad boost for the side ahead of the start of the 2021/2022 football season.

Speaking in his maiden interview, Kwame Opoku says he is elated and anxious to open the new chapter of his career at Peterborough United.

“I am really happy to be here, it has taken a little while because I have actually had Covid, but it is all good, things like that can happen, I am really looking forward to getting started. This club have shown that they can develop younger players and I am excited to get going,” the midfielder said as quoted on the website of Peterborough United.

Kwame Poku, 19, further extended an appreciation message to his former club and wished them well.

“I really enjoyed my time at Colchester, there were ups and downs, but that is football, I wish them nothing but the best for the future. I like to express myself as a footballer, try and create and score goals and enjoy it, that is the main thing,” the Ghana midfielder said.

At Peterborough United, Kwame Poku will wear the number 15 jersey next season.
