UNSTOPPABLE Exchequers of Bank of Ghana put up one of their best performances in the season when the Greater Accra Pepsi Hockey league resumed last Saturday and crowned it with a 15-1 victory against Kingsticks.

Fast-improving Kingsticks, even though massacred, were not disgraced judging from the resistance they gave their more experienced opponents who knew what to do with the ball, turning their sticks to all angles to hit the wood as and when they wished.

It was, therefore, not surprising that Alfred Armah who had a very good day chipped, floated and directed balls into the net on eight occasions, with Samuel Kwaw also getting two, and Eddie Odamtey, Joseph Appiah, Robert Aryeh, Alfred Bruce and Paul Aggrey scoring a goal each for their side.

Nene David of Kingsticks scored the only goal for his side.

Future hockey stars, Ghana Under-16, also thrashed Comets 5-1, the second highest-scoring team of the week, in the ladies match which kicked off at 10 a.m.

George Asiedu, from a penalty corner, flicked in the opener in the 20th minute but Faustina Aggrey cancelled the lead in the 34th minute to end the first 35 minutes.

Skipper Morrison, Elikan Akaba (2) and Sylvia Nsabin slotted in their chances on resumption to end the scores 5-1 in their favour.

In the Multistix-Rakers match which was indeed tight by all standards, Musa Taminu’s goal in the 15th minute for Rakers was what separated the two sides.
