Brazilian midfielder, Fabio Gama Dos Santos has expressed his appreciation to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Kotoko, the directors, and fans of the club after his debut campaign in Ghana.
The highly-rated midfielder joined the Ghanaian giants in 2020 prior to the start of the 2020/2021 football season.
Although there were doubts over whether he could excel in the Ghana Premier League, he proved the doubters wrong and finished the campaign not only as one of the best players at Asante Kotoko but in the league as well.
Taking to his Facebook wall on Tuesday morning as he prepares to return to Brazil, Fabio Gama says he appreciates the opportunity given to him by the Reds to play in Ghana.
“Hey guys the season has come to an end I just want to thank Jesus Christ for giving me the opportunity to show my best in Ghana.
“Also thank Nana Yaw Amponsah and all the directors of Asante Kotoko for trusting me, also thanking all the Asante Kotoko Sporting Club fans, who supported us from start to finish, all teammates, the whole coaching team, thank you for all the love and support you all have shown with my family, I will be forever grateful,” the midfielder posted on his wall.
In the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season, Fabio Gama made 28 appearances as he scored four goals and provided six assists in the process.
He was a key part of the Asante Kotoko team that reached the MTN FA Cup quarter-finals as well.
