Ghana international, Andre Ayew has pledged to give his all to make fans of new club Al Sadd SC proud.

On the back of weeks of speculation of the next destination of the Ghana captain after leaving Swansea City, the forward last Friday officially signed for the Qatari giants on a two-year contract.

Commenting on his move to Al Sadd SC via a post on Twitter, Andre Ayew says he is elated to be following in the footsteps of his father, the legendary Abedi Ayew Pele.

“Proud moment for me and my dad to be able to represent the club that started his career outside Ghana,” the attacker said in his post.

He further stressed that at Al Sadd SC, he is going to do all he can to make the fans proud.

“It's an honour to wear the Al Sadd jersey. I will give my all to make our fans,” Ayew added.

Andre Ayew, 31, has moved to the Gulf for the first time in his career having excelled in Europe where he played for the likes of Olympic Marseille, Lorient, West Ham United Swansea City, as well as Fernabahce.
