Asante Kotoko are reportedly in talks with Great Olympics head coach, Annor Walker.

The former Berekum Chelsea gaffer was impressive with the Dade lads in the just-ended season.

Meanwhile, Barreto's future at the Porcupine Warriors have been left in doubt after failing to win the ultimate, finishing 2nd with 57 points.

The Portuguese gaffer will be in the dugout for their MTN FA Cup game against Berekum Chelsea at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday.

But according to multiple reports, the club have reportedly agreed a deal in principle to appoint the former Nania FC head coach for the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.

Reports indicate the Black Stars B head coach has expressed his willingness to accept the huge task and has also agreed personal terms with the two-time African conquerors and is likely to replace the Portuguese should he leave at any moment from now.

Also, French tactician Romain Folz is also under consideration by the Board to be appointed as the new coach of Asante Kotoko.

Meanwhile, Mariano Barreto signed a year and half deal with the club.
