Hearts of Oak have clinched the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League title after earning a point from their clash against Liberty Professionals on Sunday afternoon.

The Phobians today hosted the Scientific Soccer Lads at the Accra Sports Stadium in a matchday 33 encounter of the season.

Needing a win to seal the league title ahead of the final weekend of the Ghana Premier League campaign, Hearts of Oak today dominated play and picked a crucial point.

In the afternoon, the home team led at the end of the first 45 minutes courtesy of a header from Daniel Afriyie Barnieh in added time after connecting to a well-taken free-kick from attacking midfielder Ibrahim Salifu.

With Liberty Professionals putting up a good fight in the second half, they managed to score through a goal from Kwame Paul to force the match to end in a 1-1 stalemate.

Courtesy of draw today, the Phobians are winners of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.

They will earn a sum of GHS250,000 for emerging as Champions of the Ghana Premier League title.
