The Ghana male senior national team on Thursday evening stepped up training for the upcoming international friendly match against Ivory Coast.

The West African powerhouse last Tuesday lost 1-0 to the Atlas Lions of Morocco in a similar exercise as part of preparations for the start of the qualifiers to the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Turning attention away from the defeat, Ghana has set sight on the next game against Ivory Coast over the weekend.

Ahead of the clash, the Black Stars on Wednesday commenced training at the Cape Coast Stadium on returning from Rabat.

Today, Coach CK Akonnor and his assistants have stepped up training with the players as the team targets a win against the Elephants.

The fixture is scheduled to be played on Saturday, June 12, 2021. The kickoff is at 17:00GMT at the Cape Coast Stadium.
