Thomas Partey will create history with Arsenal, says countryman Andre Ayew

Ghana captain, Andre Ayew beleives countryman, Thomas Partey has what it takes to make an impact at Arsenal.

The 27-year-old midfielder who joined the Premier League side with high hopes on transfer deadline day has struggled to cope due to injuries.

Partey's performance has been shaky following his move from Atletico Madrid in his debut season at the club.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Athletic, Ayew remained positive that Partey will prove his quality once he settles down and overcomes his injury hurdles.

“I think Thomas… they’re going to see a lot from him very soon," he told Stuart James.

“I know his quality very well and he’s going to make it big.

“As soon as he’s going to get free with his injuries and get to his full speed, he’s going to be massive,” Ayew said.

Since joining Arsenal, Partey has made 31 appearances for the team, providing three assists in that period.

The pair have been named in Ghana's squad for the upcoming friendlies against Morocco and Ivory Coast next month.
