Ghanaian tactician, Maxwell Konadu is set to meet officials of Legon Cities FC this week to finalize a deal that will make him the new head coach of the club.

Formerly called Wa All Stars, the new owners after rebranding the club have been making efforts to bring on board a gaffer that will see the team challenge the big boys in the Ghana Premier League.

After the failures of expatriate coach Goran Barjaktarevic, the club in the first round of the 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign settled on Coach Bashir Hayford.

Although the former Ashanti Gold SC boss has managed to improve the team, they still struggle and are currently rooted in the relegation zone of the Premier League.

As reported by Modernghana Sports on Monday, Legon Cities FC management is now on the hunt for a new head coach and has settled on former Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu.

Information gathered today indicates that meetings will be held this week to finalize the appointment of the former Black Stars B coach.

It is understood that he will hold on and take over from Coach Bashir Hayford when the ongoing season ends.

In addition, Coach Bashir Hayford will stay on and work as a youth team coach for the Royals.
