Ghana international Nicholas Opoku has suffered a knee injury and as a result, will not feature for the French Ligue 1 side for close to two weeks.

The defender who is on loan from Italian outfit Udinese has played well this season to establish himself as one of the key men in the team’s defense.

Last weekend when Amiens SC posted a 1-0 win over Rodez in the French Ligue 2, Nicholas Opoku was in action for the team.

Unfortunately, he received a knock and required medical attention after the match. Following several tests, it has been confirmed that the Black Stars asset has a minor knee injury.

While it is not a serious injury, Nicholas Opoku is expected to spend time on the sidelines to ensure he makes full recovery.

Sources have disclosed that as a result of the setback, the defender will miss two matches.

He will not be available for selection for the Amiens team in the games against Clermont and Chambly.
