APR 11, 2021 LISTEN

Aduana Stars recovered from two successive defeats in the Ghana Premier League to defeat King Faisal 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The team from Dormaa prior to today had suffered defeats to Karela United and Hearts of Oak in their last two outings.

Determined to bounce back to ensure they climb high on the league table, Aduana Stars led by head coach Asare Bediako have managed to pull through to achieve their goal on matchday 19 of the 2020/2021 league season.

Facing a King Faisal side fighting to survive relegation at the end of the season, Aduana Stars dominated play and scored through Benjamin Tweneboah in the 21st minute to ensure they had the advantage at the break.

Resuming the second half to play better, the hosts kept the visitors at bay and scored two additional goals.

Winger Benjamin Tweneboah found the back of the net for the second time in the 68th minute to complete his brace before Prince Acquah sealed the 3-0 win with an equalizer there minutes later.

Today’s win sees Aduana Stars climb to 8th on the league table while King Faisal stays rooted in the relegation zone.
