Former Asante Kotoko striker, Kwame Poku has finally left the shores of Ghana en route to Algeria where he will report to the camp of his new club, USM Alger.

The exciting striker established himself as a hitman in the first round of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.

On the back of his exploits in the Ghanaian top-flight league and the CAF Champions League with the Porcupine Warriors, the lethal forward attracted interest from a host of clubs.

Following successful negotiations between officials of Asante Kotoko and Algerian outfit USM Alger, a deal was reached in March for his signing for a reported fee of €500,000.

After finally securing the necessary documents, Kwame Poku is today flying out of Ghana to Algeria to link up with his USM Alger teammates.

While he is not expected to be in action for his new club immediately, he will have a big role to play for the side as the football season in Algeria progresses.

The young striker joins his new club having scored seven goals for Asante Kotoko in the first round of the Ghana Premier League.
