Brazilian striker, Michael Vinicius is in line to mark his debut for Asante Kotoko today after being named as one of the substitutes of the team for their clash against Bechem United.

Nicknamed the Porcupine Warriors, the team from Kumasi is hosting the Hunters at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium today to clear an outstanding fixture in the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.

Keen on getting the win, Asante Kotoko head coach Mariano Barreto has opted to parade an attacking squad for the match.

While he starts young striker Andy Kumi Francis as the main forward this afternoon, there will be support from Emmanuel Gyamfi and Augustine Okrah.

Not taking any chances, the Portuguese gaffer has named new striker Michael Vinicius on the team’s bench.

In case there is a need, the Brazilian striker could be introduced to help the team chase the win against Bechem United.

The tall forward joined Kotoko in the last window but is yet to make an appearance. Last weekend, he did not make the matchday squad when the Reds drew 1-1 against Techiman Eleven Wonders.

Today, however, there is a big chance Michael Vinicius would mark his official debut.
