AC Monza forward, Kevin-Prince Boateng has reiterated that playing for Ghana at the international level is the best decision of his life.

Boateng grabbed the headlines ahead of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The German-born made a huge impression as the Black Stars played in the quarterfinals of the Mundial for the first time in the history of Ghana.

According to the 32-year-old, he feels proud and honoured opting to play for the Black Stars.

“I don’t feel German at all, even though I was accepted in Germany," he said.

"I realized that my character and my principles didn’t suit them and vice-versa.

"So I made the choice to play for Ghana, and it was the best decision I ever made in my life.

“I wanted to go to my country, to see my people and to get to know my roots.

"I’m really proud of my decision," he added.
Boateng also played in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil where Ghana exited from the phase.

The former AC Milan and FC Barcelona player is currently serving a suspension from the Black Stars team in what was described as misconduct.
