Asante Kotoko has demanded former head coach Maxwell Konadu to return the car given to him during his time at the club or risk incurring costs for what they are calling ‘Loss of Use’.

The club in December 2020 announced the sacking of the former player to the shock of many during a period where the Porcupine Warriors were struggling to impress.

After three months, there looks to be an impasse between Asante Kotoko and Coach Maxwell Konadu with the latter dragging the former before the GFA Players and Coaches Status Committee to demand his unpaid entitlements.

In what appears to be retaliation from the Ghanaian giants, the club has also written to the coach demanding that he pays a sum of US$22,800 as the cost for keeping the vehicle given to him during his tenure at the club even though he was sacked months ago.

“By this letter, the Club demands from you, the payment of the sum of US$ 22, 800 aforesaid. Should you fail to pay the said sum of money and return the vehicle within 24hours after receipt of this letter, more costs would accrue and the Club will take all legitimate steps to recover the said money from you,” part of a letter sent to coach Maxwell Konadu reads.
