The head coach for the Black Satellites, coach Karim Zito has revealed that his team wants to win the Total CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament and present it as a gift to Ghanaians on Independence Day.

The Ghana U-20 team is in the final of the ongoing tournament in Mauritania where they are scheduled to face their counterpart from Uganda on Saturday, March 6, 2021.

The day for the finals coincidentally will see Ghana celebrating its Independence Day anniversary as well.

Speaking in the build-up to the game, coach Karim Zito says the occasions give his team the motivation to put on the needed fight to win the trophy for the West African country.

“Ghana is celebrating our Independence Day tomorrow and the best myself and my boys can do for the president of the land H.E. Nana Akuffo Addo and Fellow Ghanaians is to win the trophy and present to them as a gift,” the Black Satellites coach said in a pre-match interview on Friday.

The final between Ghana and Uganda will be played tomorrow at the Stade Olympique Nouakchott.
