Dutch-born with Ghanaian heritage, Myron Boadu scored a hat-trick to help AZ Alkmaar beat Feyenoord 4-2 in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday.
Boadu, who has attracted a lot of interest from top European clubs broke the deadlock of the game on the 22nd minutes at the AFAS Stadion level the scoring for Alkmaar after Feyenoord had drawn first blood through Marcos Senesi on the 8th minute.
After his equaliser, the visitors scored again but Boadu once again pulled Alkmaar level before the break with a 41st-minute effort.
In a highly intense second half, the striker put Alkmaar ahead with an explosive strike on the 64th-minute mark before Dutch midfielder Teun Koopmeiners sealed the win for Alkmaar and made Boadu’s hat-trick relevant.
The young striker has now scored 11 Eredivisie goals this season and netted 8 times for the Netherlands U21 side this season.
