Black Satellites striker, Frank Boateng has said he confident his outfit can play in the finals of the ongoing 2021 U-20 Afcon Championship in Mauritania.

Ghana's U-20 side defied all odds against Cameroon to book a place in the semi-finals of the competition.

The Black Satellites will play Gambia today to battle for a place in the finals.

According to Boateng, beating Cameroon has given the team enough confidence to triumph over the Gambians to play in the finals and win the trophy.

“Cameroon is a very good team and the fact that we have beaten them has given us confidence that we can do it," he told Cafonline.com.

"I believe we can go all the way to the final and the confidence we have picked from this match is enough to push us through,” Boateng stated.

The game will be staged at the Olympic Stadium in Nouakchott at 4:00PM today.

The two teams played against each other in the group stages where Gambia came from a goal down to beat the Black Satellites 2-1 and earn an automatic spot in the quarter-finals, with Ghana dropping to third but squeezing through as one of the best two third-placed teams.
