Bernard Tekpetey’s early goal inspires Ludogorets to defeat CSKA Sofia 1-0

A solitary strike from Bernard Tekpetey handed Ludogorets Razgrad a 1-0 win against CSKA Sofia on Saturday afternoon when the two teams locked horns in the Bulgarian Premier League.

The Ghanaian international in recent weeks have been in fine form and deservedly earned a starting role today when his team hosted the matchday opponent at the Ludogorets Arena.

Looking sharp at the start of the match, Bernard Tekpetey made good use of an early chance to slot his effort into the back of the net of CSKA Sofia to give his team the lead.

In the pulsating encounter that ensued from there on, neither side could score as Ludogorets Razgrad held on to win narrowly at the end of the 90 minutes.

On the matchday, Bernard Tekpetey impressed throughout the 70 minutes he stayed on the pitch before his place was taken by Pieros Sotiriou.

This season, the former Ghana U-23 star has made 15 appearances for Ludogorets and now has one goal and four assists to his name.
