The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that it will soon schedule a date for the outstanding match between Asante Kotoko and Bechem United.
The two teams locked horns at the Accra Sports Stadium for a matchday 16 encounter of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season on Thursday evening.
Due to heavy rains in the capital, the pitch of the stadium ended up being flooded and hence the referee for the matchday had to call off the game.
Confirming the calling off of the match, the Ghana FA has revealed in a statement that a new date will be set for Asante Kotoko to hots Bechem United.
“The public is to take note that a new date would be communicated in due course,” part of a statement on the GFA website reads.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko has turned attention to the Super Clash against Hearts of Oak this weekend.
The bitterest rivals will go head to head at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, February 28, 2021, to battle for three points as well as the bragging rights.
