Hearts of Oak on Sunday afternoon were forced to share the spoils with Legon Cities FC after drawing 1-1 with the side at home in the Ghana Premier League.

Nicknamed the Phobians, the team today hosted the Royals at the Accra Sports Stadium in a Matchday 13 fixture of the 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.

After a bright start to the match, the home team was awarded a penalty kick in the 15th minute and a chance to take the lead. To the shock of fans, youngster Umar Manaf who accepted the responsibility failed to convert with his effort missing the target.

Five minutes afterward, Legon Cities FC talisman Jonah Attuquaye scored to give the team the lead as he continued his outstanding form to the season.

Now trailing, Hearts of Oak piled pressure on the away team but failed in their pursuit to draw level before the break.

In the second half that saw both teams playing some good football, the Phobians had to wait till the 86th minute before breaking through.

Striker Kwadwo Obeng Jnr who had been lively throughout the game took advance of a good chance to find the back of the net to draw level for his team.

With the game ending 1-1, Hearts of Oak and Legon Cities FC have shared the spoils one point apiece.
