Ghana U-20 head coach Karim Zito is anticipating a tough contest in the Group Stage of the CAF U-20 Total Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament where his team has been drawn to face Morocco, Gambia, and Tanzania.

The WAFU Zone B Champions at the end of Monday’s draw in Cameroon for the upcoming tournament has been pitted in Group C where they will hope to get the better of their opponents.

Reacting to the draw in an interview with Happy FM, Ghana U-20 head coach Karim Zito says his team is faced with a tough challenge.

“It’s a big challenge and we are hoping to also prove our worth in the competition. Morocco is a team that really disturbs Ghana a lot as well as the Gambia”, the experienced gaffer noted.

Regardless, coach Karim Zito is confident his Black Satellites will advance from the Group Stage to the knockout phase and has revealed how he is motivating his players.

“I have told them that If they are able to win the Cup they will be the next generation of Black Stars players since this year there will be no World Cup,” he shared.

The tournament is set to start on Sunday, February 14, and will end on Thursday, March 4, 2021.
