The head coach for the Ghana U-20 team, Karim Zito says his mind is unchanged about the ambition to lead the team to lift the CAF U-20 Total Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The Black Satellites will be among twelve youth national teams that will be participating in the tournament scheduled to be staged in Mauritania next month.

Following the draw in Cameroon on Monday, Coach Karim Zito has set sight on going to the tournament with the best squad to enhance the chances of enjoying triumph.

“When I came back [from the WAFU Zone B tournament], I told my scouts I needed certain players, and luckily for me, the league is currently ongoing which will make it easy for us selecting the best to represent the country”, the experienced coach told Happy FM in an interview.

According to coach Karim Zito, his target is to have his team put up the best performance in order to win the U-20 AFCON title at the end of the tournament.

“We are going all out to make Ghana and West Africa proud because we are representing the sub-region. Our target is the ultimate prize,” he added.

The Ghana U-20 team has been pitted in Group C alongside their counterparts from Gambia, Tanzania, and Morocco.

The tournament is set to start on Sunday, February 14, and will end on Thursday, March 4, 2021.
