Ghana international Patrick Twumasi climbed off the Hannover 96 bench on Sunday afternoon to score for the team in their 5-2 win against Nurnberg in the German Bundesliga 2.
The forward joined the side in the summer transfer window but has not been able to cement a starting role in the team as a result of injury setbacks.
Today at the Max-Morlock-Stadion, he missed out on a starting role but was called into action in the second half when he replaced Valmir Sulejmani five minutes after the hour mark.
Making good use of the chance to play, Patrick Twumasi dazzled with his direct attacking play and finished off with a brilliant goal to earn high marks.
The 26-year-old in the 86th minute fired in a strike to complete a good team move after he was teed up by Florent Muslija.
For the 25 minutes he played, the former Deportivo Alaves forward merited a high rating of 7.1 from statistics providers and Modernghana Sports partners SofaScore.
On the matchday, Marvin Ducksch, Timo Huebers, Genki Haraguchi, and Florent Muslija netted the other four goals for Hannover 96 with Manuel Schaeffler and Johannes Geis netting the consolation goals for Nurnberg.
With today’s equalizer, Patrick Twumasi now has three goals this season in the German Bundesliga 2 having made 13 appearances for Nurnberg.
