Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nana Yaw Amponsah is confident his outfit will thrive following their foreign partnership with English side, Southampton.

The Ghana Premier League side on Tuesday announced a partnership deal with the Premier League side.

The Saints will support the development of Kotoko’s strategy both on and off the pitch.

Areas include coaching expertise, academy football growth, commercial and operational strategy development.

Commenting on the agreement, the Reds management chief expressed his ambitions to improve the club’s professionalism just as Southampton.

“This partnership enables us to plug Asante Kotoko into Southampton in such a way that Kotoko functions like Southampton.

“Kotoko would have everything Southampton has but to a level that reflects our different budgets.

“I believe that with the expertise and resources available at Southampton, we can tap into this and develop our setup to look and feel professional like Saints.”

Asante Kotoko is now the first African side to enter into a partnership with Southampton.

The Porcupine Warriors will be hosted by Ebusua Dwarfs today at the Cape Coast Stadium in an outstanding game.
