The Head Coach of Tunisian side AS Soliman, Yemen Zelfani is backing Ghanaian striker Daniel Lomotey to excel during his time at the club.

As reported earlier, the WAFA SC poster boy on Tuesday morning arrived in Tunisia where he is expected to sign for AS Soliman.

Speaking to Kumasi-based Ashh FM in an interview, coach for AS Soliman Yemen Zelfani has confirmed that indeed the player is on the verge of committing his future to the club.

“I can confirm to you that yes Lomotey has arrived here in Tunisia. I know Lomotey from the national team and he is a good player, he has good qualities as a striker. He is not coming to do try as but he is here to sign a contract, train and start games for us,” the coach shared.

According to coach Yemen Zelfani, he hopes Daniel Lomotey flourished in the Tunisian top-flight league once all the contractual agreements are signed and he hits the ground running.

“It has been some time I have been in Africa I was at Sudan with Emir club and I know Ghanaians have good strikers with a lot of strength and good goal scorers.

“I know Lomotey and I requested for him so I wish he gets good games here and if God permit he will get contracts from Europe. I only speak of the player's technical aspects so I cannot tell you how many years he signed with us,” coach Yemen Zelfani added.

Daniel Lomotey, 21, before traveling to Tunisia had played 9 matches for WAFA SC in the Ghana Premier League.

He is moving to AS Soliman as the leader of the top scorer's chart in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season with 8 goals.
