Berekum Chelsea returned to winning ways on Sunday afternoon when the team defeated Inter Allies FC 1-0 on matchday eight of the Ghana Premier League.
The club in the last three matches had failed to record a win having lost twice and drawn the other match.
Determined to end that run of poor form today, Berekum Chelsea hosted Inter Allies FC at the Golden City Park today to play with a resilient attitude.
Making a bright start to the encounter, the home team pushed with successive attacks as they pegged the visitors pack.
In the 13th minute, a Paul Agyei Attah strike shot Inter Allies FC into a deserved lead although Inter Allies FC had also shown promise.
While the visitors hoped to equalize in the first half, they could not find a way through the defense of the opponent and went into the break trailing.
Despite the numerous chances created by both teams in the second half, neither could get on the scoresheet, leading to Berekum Chelsea delightfully settling for a narrow 1-0 win against Inter Allies.
