Medeama SC on Saturday afternoon defeated Ebusua Dwarfs 1-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium to record their first win in the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
Having endured a very difficult start to the new football season, the Tarkwa-based club had failed to win any of their first three matches.
Poised to record the first win to initiate a revival, Medeama SC head coach Samuel Boadu today fielded a very strong starting eleven that featured midfield maestro Kwasi Donsu.
In the first half of many actions, the Yellow and Mauves dominated Ebusua Dwarfs but could not find the back of the net.
After recess, the visitors continue to push and survive scares from the home team to stay in the game.
Eventually, in the 71st minute, substitute Agyenim Boateng scored with a fine header to shoot Medeama SC into the lead.
With no additional goals from there on, Medeama SC has amassed all three points to climb to 9th on the standings of the Ghana Premier League.
