The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reportedly taken a reluctant stance to Asante Kotoko’s request to move their home venue from the Accra Sports Stadium to the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

As reported earlier, the Porcupine Warriors club in a letter to the country’s football governing body has revealed plans to play their home matches in Tamale instead of Accra.

The decision according to the club is as a result of the pressure on the Accra Sports Stadium which is being used by as many as 5 Ghana Premier League clubs in the ongoing 2020/2021 season.

After considering the reasons given by the club, the Ghana FA has according to Oyerepa FM refused to give in to Asante Kotoko.

Reports have it that the GFA has told the club that there is no pressure on the Accra Sports Stadium and they can continue using the venue if that’s their only concern.
