Striker Asamoah Gyan has expressed optimism in the chances of Legon Cities FC beating Dreams FC in the coming weekend to pick up the first 3 points of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.

Having joined the Royal club on transfer deadline day of the local window, the former Sunderland goal poacher finally marked his debut for the team last Friday when they drew goalless with Medeama SC.

That result meant that the club has drawn 2 matches this season and has suffered one defeat in the first 3 matches of the new campaign.

Having seen improvement in the team in the draw against Medeama SC, Asamoah Gyan says the team stands a good chance of beating Dreams FC in their next outing.

“If we go to the game with the same attitude, the same mentality, I think we can be able to do something positive there [in Dawu]. I believe in the boys and I think this is just the beginning. We started slowly in this league. Today’s game has given me more energy, more positive thinking to approach the next game,” Gyan said in his post-match interview after the Medeama SC clash.

The Legon Cities striker continued, “In the next game if we are able to approach the game with this same attitude I think we can win the game.”

The match between Dreams FC and Legon Cities FC is scheduled to be played at the Theatre of Dreams on Saturday, December 5, 2020.
